Burkeville United Methodist Church is very active in the community and concerned about the local elderly, youth, and needy.   In addition BUMC is often involved in helping those living all over the nation and the world.  

Recently, the United Methodist Women are engaged in making ponchos for elderly shut-ins.   In the past, the BUMC has helped countless hurricane and flood victims, and the Youth Program has donated money toward the "Nothing But Nets" campaign that provides essential mosquito nets to families in Africa to help combat the malaria epidemic.
